About Me

My name is Fredrick Owusu Nyarko the grandchild of Otumfour Nana Osei Tutu II (The Traditional Ruler of the Ashanti Kingdom). I am a writer spoken word artist, Poet, Cultural Activist, Literary Coach and HIV/AIDS advocate known in the showbiz  as Ancestral Poet. The current Spoken Word Artist of the year 2019 (GACA). I have been nominated COPO Award 2019, Ghana Writers Award 2016 and among the likes of Nana Asaase, Rhymesony, Chief Moomen as the spoken word artist of the year in the Ghana Arts and Culture award 2019. I recently launched my maiden spoken word album Nsɛm ne Ɔkra which saw the likes of Ras Takura from Jamaica and Elizabeth Morrison from the USA.

A writer who seeks to make an impact through poetry. I am an HIV/AIDS advocate, I educate people about how to stay safe, prevent and take precautions and mostly I teach people stigmatization and what to do after being affected.

I hold seminar at my school every Wednesday to educate them how to prevent, eat and medications to be healthy when affected. I do all there through poetry because I believe people listen and pay attention when they are being entertained.
